Adult Learning

Lalor Neighbourhood House is your Learn Local provider offering short, practical courses for adult learners who want to build skills and confidence. Our pre-accredited courses in English, general literacy, and basic computers are designed for adults who are not yet ready for nationally accredited programs.

These courses are learner-focused and flexible, providing an accessible introduction to further learning pathways. Participants receive a certificate of participation, and all courses are approved by the Victorian Government through the Department of Education (DET).

Our Learn Local courses are delivered by qualified, professional teachers who understand adult learning principles, and we welcome learners from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
