Bushra Brings Colour to the Community
Bushra has been busy bringing the side mural to life, and this special project has become even more meaningful with the help of her dear friend, Sheeba.
Bushra and Sheeba first met while studying their Bachelor of Fine Arts at university in India. After life took them on different journeys, the two friends recently reunited in Melbourne after 11 years apart. Their shared love of art quickly picked up where it left off, as they spent time together painting, reminiscing, and catching up on more than a decade of stories.
Working side by side on the mural has been a wonderful opportunity for the friends to reconnect through creativity while adding colour and character to the space. Between brushstrokes, there have been plenty of conversations, laughter, and memories shared.
The mural is an ongoing project, and Bushra and Sheeba will continue painting together every Sunday. We look forward to watching the artwork evolve over the coming weeks and seeing the vibrant contribution they are making to our community.
