My Choice Support & LNH Volunteers
Our weekly Gardening Club continues to be a wonderful space for connection, learning, and community.
Each week, people come together to enjoy a warm cuppa, share stories, lend a helping hand in the garden, and enjoy each other’s company.
A quote shared by Damian beautifully reflects the spirit of our garden community:
A gardener does not expect a seed to become a flower overnight.

Our recent gathering welcomed a mix of familiar faces and new participants. We were delighted to welcome new members Priscilla and Helen, as well as first-time visitors Max and Annelise, who enjoyed their experience and look forward to returning.
Lachie, Kellie, Claudio, Charlie, Jason, Jeanette, and Halime were also part of the day, alongside a large group from My Choice Support, including clients, support workers, and placement students.
There was plenty of activity throughout the garden. Claudio, Charlie, and Jason tackled the compost, turning and aerating the piles in a job that was not for the faint-hearted. Halime spent time supporting and securing the flourishing broad bean plants, while Priscilla and Helen worked tirelessly to clear weeds and refresh one side of the central garden area. The team from My Choice Support made a valuable contribution by assisting with watering, weeding, and collecting rubbish around the garden.

Together we continue to nurture not only our garden, but also the friendships and sense of belonging that make this program so special.
