Community Support Needed for Food Relief 💛
Last month, our Project Coordinator was featured in Star Weekly highlighting the impact that recent government funding cuts have had on our Food Relief Program at Lalor Neighbourhood House.
These cuts have significantly affected our ability to provide free food support to the many families who rely on us. Every week, people in our community visit us because they are struggling to afford basic groceries.
To help keep the program running, we have had to introduce a $5 contribution per food relief box. Unfortunately, many of the families accessing this service are already facing financial hardship and are finding it difficult to pay even this small amount.
