Have you been thinking about getting more involved in your community?
We’d love to have you on board!
There are so many ways to get involved at Lalor Neighbourhood House. Whether you enjoy getting your hands dirty in the garden, organising events, sharing a skill, or bringing creative ideas to life, there’s a volunteer opportunity for you.
You could:
Help care for our community gardens and join the Garden Committee
Support fundraising events and activities
Lend a hand with office administration
Assist in finding and applying for grants and funding opportunities
Help establish composting and mulching systems at Lalor Neighbourhood House and the Links Community Garden
Share your knowledge of recycling, sustainability and the circular economy
Pass on food-preserving skills, including pickling, jams, chutneys, fermentation and oil preserving
Contribute to community art projects and mural designs
Design and build outdoor games for local families and community members to enjoy
Bring your own ideas and help turn them into reality
Volunteering is a great way to meet new people, learn new skills, share your experience and make a real difference in your local community.
To help keep everyone safe, all volunteers are required to complete a Police Check and a Working with Children Check. These will be arranged by Lalor Neighbourhood House.
If you’d like to get involved in any of these areas or have an idea of your own, we’d love to hear from you.
