A Day of Discovery at Northern School for Autism

On 7 September, students from Melbourne Polytechnic and Northern School for Autism came together in the garden for a day of connection, exploration and hands-on learning.

The students explored different scents found throughout the garden, taking the time to smell and discover the plants and objects around them. It was a fun way to learn through the senses and experience the garden in a different way.

The day also included some hands-on gardening, with everyone getting involved in weeding and caring for the garden. Jackson and Henry especially enjoyed getting stuck in and pulling out the weeds.

It was a great opportunity for the students to spend time together, try something new and enjoy the outdoors. There was plenty of teamwork, curiosity and laughter throughout the day, making it a memorable experience for everyone.
