Art Spotlight – Mirela
This week, we’re putting the spotlight on Mirela and celebrating her wonderful progress in our Art Classes!
Mirela first joined our Wednesday Art Class in Term 2, where she began exploring different techniques, building her confidence and developing her own artistic style. She has since moved across to our Thursday Art Class and continues to enjoy creating and learning alongside others.
Our art teacher, Ildiko, shared Mirela’s artworks with us in the order they were created, and the progress is truly wonderful to see. From her first flower artwork through to her most recent portrait, you can see how much her skills, confidence and attention to detail have developed.
Ildiko says:
“If someone seriously wants to improve in art, they can.”
Mirela is a great example of this. With regular practice, encouragement and a willingness to keep learning, she has continued to build on her skills and challenge herself with new artwork.
We love being able to celebrate these journeys at Lalor Neighbourhood House. Art is not just about the finished piece, it’s about having a go, learning something new, meeting people, building confidence and seeing how far you can come.
