Last year, our community artist Ildi and community garden facilitator Damian came together with a shared vision: to create hand-painted plant boxes that would not only grow herbs and flowers, but also grow connection, creativity, and wellbeing within our community.

Each plant box was thoughtfully painted by hand, turning practical garden beds into small works of art. In a short space of time, the plants have flourished, bursting with colour and life, and have become a beautiful addition to the already thriving garden at our neighbourhood house.
These vibrant boxes now stand as a reminder of what can grow when creativity and community come together.

Our community garden continues to be a place of learning, sharing, and support. It’s a space where people can come together to garden for free, swap tips and ideas, learn new skills, and enjoy the many wellbeing benefits that gardening brings, from spending time outdoors to connecting with others and taking pride in nurturing something from seed to bloom.

If you’re looking for a welcoming group that loves gardening, values kindness, and supports one another, LNH may be just the place for you. We proudly work with people of all abilities and are deeply committed to being an inclusive, accessible neighbourhood house where everyone feels welcome and valued.

Whether you’re an experienced gardener or just starting out, you’ll find encouragement, friendship, and the chance to be part of something meaningful. We would love for you to join us and help our garden grow!
