Neighbourhood Houses play a vital role in supporting our community providing connection, learning opportunities, childcare, and practical help for people of all ages and backgrounds. 💚
Right now, Neighbourhood Houses across Victoria are under unprecedented pressure. Rising costs, growing community demand, and reduced core funding are forcing many to cut hours, staff, and programs.
Each week, more than 185,000 Victorians access community support and local services through the 400+ Neighbourhood Houses across the state. Many are struggling to meet the increased need caused by the cost-of-living crisis while also facing rising costs themselves.
That’s why we’re reaching out to Ros Spence MP to share just how important our local Neighbourhood Houses are and to ask for a small funding increase to help us continue providing essential programs, childcare, and services for locals doing it tough.
