A truly vibrant and meaningful collaboration went underway on Thursday as artists Bushra and Amanda continued tackling their ambitious mural project. They have teamed up with the Northern School of Autism (NSA), ensuring the students are not just spectators, but actively involved with the creation process. The theme to bring alive our Australian native animals and plants – something for all of the community to enjoy!

The teams were painting up a storm, with brushes busy across the big wall. This unique, handson experience is proving to be immensely beneficial for the participating students, successfully fostering self-confidence through tangible contribution and rapidly developing their artistic talents and skills.

Despite the mural’s massive size and the considerable amount of work still ahead, the energy and excitement remain incredibly high. Bushra, thrilled with the progress and the positive impact on the students, remains eagerly anticipating the moment the final, magnificent piece is completed for the community to enjoy.
