Maria, our wonderful volunteer who runs our Italian Social group, supports our community lunches and informs our Learning from Nonna program with secondary school students, turned 80 last week.
Over many years, Maria has contributed so much to Lalor and has been Nonna to hundreds of children in the area. Maria adds joy and laughter to the centre most days. But she doesn’t look a day over 65! Here she is with cake number 5! It is a real honour to have Maria on our volunteer team. She is a true testament to how community connections keep you young. No one could be more connected than Maria! And she makes a fabulous gnocchi!
