Have you noticed that Lalor is looking cleaner these days?
We’ve been busy cleaning up Lalor every Wednesday afternoon with My Choice Support Network. But last Wednesday was particularly special as we had lots more people join us from the wider My Choice team, members of our computer class, and other volunteers as part of Clean Up Australia Day. The great news too, was that everything was looking cleaner before we started this time. Hopefully our efforts are seeing more people take care and take pride in the wonderful Lalor Shops!
We also think we prevented a serious fire as we pulled out a broken and smoking vape device – its battery starting to catch fire! It was in a pile of very flammable rubbish in the side laneways that many of the shops back onto!
