While we are awaiting council approval for the community garden design, we have the go ahead to install our Entrance Murals!
And wow! Have Bushra and Ildiko taken off! It is a lovely process of designing each panel in consultation with community members from various cultural groups represented in Lalor. So far, we have Indian, Egyptian, Hungarian, Italian, Scottish, Chinese and Vietnamese art panels all taking shape. It was particularly lovely to see the Vietnamese Seniors group run by the Australian Vietnamese Women’s Association participants contribute their ideas through a drawing activity with Bushra.
