We are so grateful to St Luke’s Primary School who are making their school hall available for us to host our final community lunch for 2023 at the usual time from 11.30am to 1pm Thursday 7th December. As you may already know, the cooling system at French St Hall caught fire on 5 December, so much so, that the hall will be out of action for a few months. But thanks to the generosity of the school next door, we will be hosting the lunch in their hall. We will enter through the back laneway entrance opposite the Senior Citizen Centre (often known as May Road Centre). There will be Christmas Hampers and vouchers to help people get through the holiday period. True to our multicultural spirit it will be a Halal Christmas turkey lunch with all the trimmings! Look forward to seeing you there!
Thanks too, to quick thinking neighbours and volunteers, the fire brigade got there in time to prevent further damage, The Lalor Neighbourhood House should be back in action next week, although it will be our last week before we close for the holidays.
