What a great day we had last week to acknowledge RUOK day. Hala Attalla Saba organised a fabulous day with a Halal Sausage sizzle, music, drums, dance and beautiful Greek, Middle Eastern and Italian displays around the building. We also distributed 29 food packages, hosted our weekly sewing class for Arabic speaking women and craft activities with our ABC disability support volunteers. Thank you to everyone who came and made the day special. It was wonderful to see so many volunteers pitching in together.
We also want to acknowledge that a lot of people are not feeling very OK at the moment as they watch world events in places like Gaza, the West Bank, Sudan, DRC and Burma, to name a few. We extend our heartfelt concern and support to all those worried for relatives and friends who are affected by the violence in so many countries around the world.
