The Lalor Refresh Project is taking off with a vengeance with so much happening, our heads are spinning, or is it knitting?! The entrance mural is coming along beautifully with our local residents helping us to choose designs that reflect their cultures! And its all systems go, as we plan for a wonderful after school intergenerational event with St Luke’s Primary School on Thursday 25th May. Check out our flyer below!

We also welcomed our first students from Plenty River Secondary College who are helping us to paint our murals, and who have taken home some wool to start our yarn-bombing projects and painting tiles and making home preserves!

And as you can see from the photo, the admin team were working very hard this afternoon, testing out the yarn-bombing materials!

We also want to say a big thank you to Bunnings for donating so much for our gardening projects and to Coles for their support with vouchers! It is great to have so much community support for this transformational project. Special shout-outs to Bushra Hasan who is the creative driver of all this work, supported by Ildiko Kormanos, to create our stunning murals. And to Alita D’Souza and Zaheda Dayoub for all their efforts to raise funds and support our volunteers! Such an amazing team!
